Hello, I am Andrew Johnston.
I have been interested in cameras since I was a little child. I loved taking pictures of landscapes, people, wildlife, and anything I could find. It made me really happy.
It feels like it’s been ages, and I can’t remember how long I have been into this hobby.
After my teenage years, this hobby turned into a passion and led me to open my agency, where I focused on all types of videography, including commercials, wedding videography, modeling videos, and cinematography.
I also do real estate, wedding, and portrait photography occasionally.
Although I knew about videography when I started, but wedding videography and commercials are a whole other thing. It requires the right gear, including the right camera, lens, tripod, camera monitor, and gimbals.
It was very hard to learn all the skills, especially using the gimbal. But the first thing was choosing the right gimbal for my needs and cameras.
Different mirrorless cameras support different gimbals due to their payload capacity and other features.
I had no proper resources, and I learnt all this by trial and error.
I started this website about gimbals, where I test gimbals with various cameras that are perfect for videography, so you don’t have to waste your time researching all this.
My review process is quite rigorous and requires a lot of effort as I have to balance the gimbal, mount the camera with the lens, check connection features such as WiFi and USB cable, and control the camera via gimbal.
